This question was inspired by this video from Benny:
Differences between French in Quebec
If I know the Parisian/France variety of French, when I am speaking with Canadian French speakers, should I attempt to adopt their pronunciation or just speak I as normally would? How do Canadians perceive the "France dialect" (as incorrect, as snobbish...)? Or is all forgiven because I am not a native speaker (I am not French)?

All will be forgiven regardless of your accent if you pretend you love hockey.

I'd agree that as a foreigner, no one would hold it against you. But if you stay there a
while, people will probably expect you to pick up the accent a bit. Otherwise, I think it
would be perceived as slightly snobbish.

On a trip to Quebec a few years ago, I used my (limited) French whenever I could, and no one ever said anything about pronunciation or accent.

Thanks. I tend to (unconsciously) mimic a foreign accent and I did not want to offend French Canadians by using their dialect.

I believe I read somewhere (Encyclopaedia Britannica?) that French Canadians sometimes react against Parisian French, as it is the form of French that Anglophone Canadians tend to learn.

Our reaction to Parisian French has nothing to do with which version anglophones learn.
However, I have to admit that it's kind of insulting to hear English Canadians learning European French. It's a clear statement that they have no interest in the francophones in their own country, nor any desire to ever use the language with them.
*end of rant*
