Anyone have a suggestion for a good Brazilian Portuguese/English dictionary. I speak Spanish already and am learning Portuguese, so I don't want a simple beginner's dictionary. Just a good, solid dictionary with good translations, sample sentences and pronunciations.

I have the Minidicionário made my Oxford: Português-Inglês, Inglês-Português.
It includes 40.000 words and gives the Brasilian pronunciation. My realy bulky dictionary of the Portuguese language though is a European one ... 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I know you're looking for a printed dictionary. I only use electronic ones, so as a supplement to your paper dictionary here are my recommendations: I use the Priberam Kindle dictionary for my Kindle reading and it is also on-line with definitions in Portuguese and a button for English translation: Priberam covers the entire Lusophone world. I also use EU Dict and Bab-la Portuguese for translation. Compara is a good place to search for sentences/phrases.
