My parents are thinking of learning Spanish for the usefulness. They said that they were thinking of Rosetta Stone but I have heard mixed results? I heard that there is one that repeats themselves many times, do you think that is better? Is there a good program to all four skills?

Forget Rosetta Stone. It's worthless. Go with Assimil imho. Though you will be learning

For Spanish, I always recommend Michel Thomas.
Assimil is a good follow-on, but as a first introduction to a foreign language (and to foreign languages in general) it can be a little difficult. DO NOT buy Rosetta Stone. It is far too expensive for what it offers and will take a lot of time without producing much improvement. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Ok will tell them that. What about other languages. Any thing that is mention I will experiment with to see what I like better. Is Michael Thomas that repeats the same words over and over and in return you will remember even though it takes forever?

No Michel Thomas is pretty fast paced, much more so than Pimsleur. Both are decent though, and I'd second the notion of starting with Thomas course as it makes for a great fun introduction. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I am a native English speaker and so are they. Sometimes when I explain things its not clear enough, I was in speech most of my educational years and still have trouble explaining, understanding ect.
