I've just made a video of myself speaking Russian. To make it interesting, I filmed it from the roof of our house... Haha.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkFXRHaKCC4
I'm perfectly aware that my Russian still needs work, but if you notice any particular mistakes I'm making with my pronunciation and/or grammar, please do tell!
I've also written a description of my study methods on my blog, in case anyone's interested:

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

На крыше, not в крыше. Когда я была маленькая, я часто приходила сюда not пришла
(multiple action). Там - моя комната. Сейчас август.(это is an extra word in these two
sentences) Много деревьев. С людьми. Во Францию.
Your ч, дж sound like ть, дь. Your ш, ж are not velarized, Some of your consonants (с
and м) are not palatalized enough, ы resembles и sometimes, but these minor points which
do not impact comprehension. Too many оченьs.
In general, it is very good, I liked it.

Thank you Mark! I guess I made a lot of mistakes, but that's to be expected. Now that you mention them I feel like I should have known a lot of those! Oh well. A few months ago I couldn't even say anything, so I've definitely improved. Hopefully I'll be able to iron out those mistakes soon. =)

1/ там через окно, should be там за окном
2) сейчас это август should be сейчас -- август
3] очень зелен#$^ your ending is unclear, probably should be очень зеленых. Look up the word зелень btw.
4} десять месяцев but четыре месяца
Most of these below aren't mistakes more of usage suggestions:
1] у меня такие одежды (it's like saying "these vestments" in English) should be на мне такая одежда
2) что мне сказать should be что сказать or что бы мне сказать.
3} очень скоро мне пора should be очень скоро мне будет пора (unless you're leaving presently)
4/ спасибо, что вы смотрели это видео, should be спасибо, что вы посмотрели это видео.
A few sounds observations. They probably fall under the broad categories that Mark mentioned above, but it's easier for me to be specific here.
сижю, покажю should be сижу, покажу (harder жу instead of жжю)
чтоби, виучить should be чтобы, выучить (ы not и)
маЛЭНкая should be softer маленькая
изык should be язык (phonetically you're missing the 'j'-й sound -- it should sound like йизык)
I wish I could boast similar rates of progress in my language studies.
You're doing awesome for 4 month :)
Keep doing what you're doing and don't stop once in France, even if you have to put Russian somewhat on a backburner.
glhf!

Thank you s0fist! I appreciate the usage suggestions as well.
As far as pronunciation goes, I'm going to try to focus on pronouncing ы correctly since that seems to be a problem I'm having pretty consistently. I'm not sure I understand, though, what the difference between ы and и really is. Could you give me a few examples of words in which the difference can be heard clearly? I actually thought the vowels themselves were the exact same sound, but that they simply effect the sound of the consonant before them (making it hard or soft respectively). Is this incorrect?
And how does й sound different from и?
Thank you for the nice words of encouragement as well! Don't worry, I definitely plan on continuing with Russian in France. =) Actually I won't really be studying French while I'm there (besides the classes I'm required to take twice a week), because I'm already fluent in it. I'll just be trying to use it as my main language in my daily life because I want to improve it to a near-native level. I should still have plenty of time to work on Russian, and actually I'm hoping I'll be able to actually try using it with some native speakers while in France (which is something I haven't been able to do here). Russian is already one of my favorite languages, so I won't be giving up on it anytime soon!

ы, и are certainly different sounds, although may be considered as allophones. Russians
cannot pronounce и after a hard consonant, they have to put tongue lower. Listen to
this song and pay attention to the last words of the first two lines. There is lyrics
in the description.

й is like y in yes or in toy.

Thanks! I think I can hear the difference in the song.

Since Mark already cleared up the sounds of ы and й, I'll just drop this link with some tongue twisters so you can practice your жуs, ыs, йs or whatever you may want.
There's no separate section for ы, but it can be found aplenty, ex:
Бобры храбры идут в боры,
Бобры для бобрят добры.
Слоны умны, слоны смирны,
Слоны спокойны и сильны.
Вы малину мыли-ли?
Мыли, но не мылили.
Don't be upset if you can't say all of them fast, I definitely can't, focus on correctness is my 2c:
всех скороговорок не перескороговорить, не перевыскороговорить; но попытка - не пытка.
