Yi is a language close to Burmese spoken in China.
They use a syllabary to write their language, it's the biggest lyllabary ever to be standardised.

What's nuosu? What does it look like? Why are you trying to learn it?

It's adialect of Yi spoken in China.
It's similar to Burmese.
There are two million speakers of Nuosu, and 8 milions of Yi people altogether in China.
but these are not always mutually intelligible.
You need to learn 800 characters to read Yi.
