I couldn't get the code to show up as a picture, so I just put it on a server somewhere in the universe. Nevertheless thanks to www.tonjafabritz.com who made the program behind the map.

Those white blotches are UGLY, - I'll try to remove at least some of them as soon as possible, but it will take time and patience (and money). And some of the countries in the broad white band from the Sahara to Central Asia are among the most difficult and/or less rewarding to visit.

Wow, Iversen, I think you get the prize for the most well traveled. What country did you miss in South America, Suriname?

Well, I lack all three Guyanas plus Trinidad on my score card. But I'll fix that as soon as possible. Didn't I mention somewhere that I like to travel?

Well, Suriname is one of the three Guyanas in spite of the name, and I have not visited that country yet. But I have spoken to people who have been there, and they tell me that Dutch is almost only used in official situations. According to sources on the internet there is a local creole language called Sranan and a pidgin called takitaki, but my friends certainly didn't speak any of these. I guess they tried English, or maybe Spanish if they were in an adventurous mood. So if you really want to learn Dutch don't go to Suriname.
