Hi now that I have a bit more time on my hands I'm going to start learning Esperanto. But while i'm learning it I want to make some great learning material for learning this language using the learning souftware Supermemo.

I want to create a course that will fully teach the Esperanto language to others. I came across a free ebook called A Complete Grammar of Esperanto by Ivy Kellerman Reed
(www.gutenberg.org/etext/7787).

This book seems very comprehensive and each lesson builds on the past lesson. Perhaps though for some people it's a little dry. However, by putting the knowledge from this book into supermemo it should be quite easy and fun to learn.

Seeing as the book is already in a 'word/notepad' format it will be easy to convert parts of the book into questions for supermemo. The main problem though is that i have not found any audio with this book.

Does someone know any site where there is audio for this book? Would any accomplished Esperanto speaker be willing to add audio to this book? All they would have to do is read the sentences, paragraphs and word lists. I will then chop up the audio and insert it into Supermemo.

I hope someone out there can help me in this project to create possible the best free resource for learning Esperanto.

If you can't find someone here willing to have a go at recording it, you might try suggesting the book for recording over at the forums of Librivox

Keep in mind that most recordings are a collaborative effort over there, (unless you find one reader who is willing to commit to recording the whole book themselves.) Also, since it's an all volunteer project,it will likely take several months (or more) before a project is fully subscribed with readers, all the recordings are submitted, proofed, and ultimately uploaded to archive.org.

If you want something that already has audio recorded, I see in their catalog that they already have a recording of Zamenhof's Dr. Esperanto's International Language-Introduction and Complete Grammar
which would go along with the Gutenberg e-text.

I haven't been active over there for quite a long time, so I don't know anything about this particular recording or the reader who recorded it (other than it's all done by one reader, as opposed to a collaborative recording.)
(Anyway, since there is no such thing as a "native" Esperanto accent. chances are the accent/pronunciation of the reader will be just fine.) I just thought I'd mention this as an alternative in case you can't find someone willing to record the text you've chosen.

Good luck :)

The thing is I wouldn't need the whole book read only the vocabulary and the paragraphs so it wouldn't take too long.

Saluton!
I'm the coordinator for the "EsperantoPorInfanoj" Google group.
Here is the link for a source that we use sometimes to create audio files. It's a text to speech program. It doesn't accept "hatted" letters but you can spell the words "fonerikli", I mean phonetically... Use the Lat. Am. Spanish speakers.

You may find everything you need about the pronunciation at http://www.remush.be/memoru/fundamento/en/index.html.
If you don't have Firefox as a browser, go to http://www.akademio-de-esperanto.org/fundamento/ekzercaro.ht ml.
and play the *.mp3 in http://www.remush.be/memoru/fundamento/en/MemoruENprono.html.
The male voice is natural (and slow), the female voice is computer generated, and the speed is close to normal (85%).
You may generate the speech yourself with http://www.remush.be/parolu/sintezo.html (but the explanation is in Esperanto)
If the text is short, use http://traduku.net/parole/
