	My experience with Esperanto comes primarily from reading. Some of the first words I picked up were the pronouns since they are very simple in form and seem almost intuitive to anyone who knows English and French. Because each is quite similar to the others (mi, vi, li, ni ...), I've wondered whether they might be confused easily in speech. Do those of you who speak Esperanto regularly find that you sometimes mispeak or misunderstand a pronoun? It might be something like, Did you just say "ni"? -- No, I said "li"! Granted, English has a few rhyming pronouns as well (me, he, she, we), and context will often indicate who we are talking about. But in Esperanto nearly every pronoun differs by only one sound. Ido has dealt with this by varying the vowels and sometimes inverting some sounds (me, vu, il, ni). Do you see this as an advantage or do you find that the similarities in the pronouns of Esperanto rarely cause any major communication problems? 1 person has voted this message useful

	Your reply is encouraging. I especially like "from all continents" as I'm hoping to turn my mostly passive knowledge into active speaking & listening, and it would be great to talk with Esperanto speakers from around the world. Dankon! 1 person has voted this message useful
