Burada daha iyidir Türkçe konusmak. Bir yildan önce Türkçe bana çok zordu. Ama simdi Türkçe konusmak daha kolay.

Fatma is supposed to go to the station. Fatma has got to go to the station. Fatma'nın istasyona gitmesi gerek, Fatma'nın istasyona gitmesi lazım, Fatma istasyona gitmeli. Ayşe needs a kilo of apple and pear. Ayşe'nin bir kilo elma ve armuta ihtiyacı var. I've got to do some shopping. Benim biraz alışveriş yapmam lazım/ Biraz alışveriş yapsam iyi olacak. 'Akıl akıldan üstündür' means something like two heads are better than one or each wisdom is better than each other.

I want to add few more quotations which are often used in daily Turkish:
Damlaya damlaya göl olur. : Actually it's something like many a little makes a mickle. If you save money or collect something else, you will eventually have a lot. Literally it means: It rains and rains and then becomes a lake. Gün doğmadan neler doğar: It's something like there is always hope even before the sun rises. Tomorrow is another day and literally means lots of things rise before the another day starts/before the sun rises. 2 persons have voted this message useful |
