I will start learning Esperanto. I will do it at a relaxed pace without stress or pressure. I simply believe in what Esperanto stands for, and to support those goals I would like to learn Esperanto myself.

The Esperanto community seems like an intersting group that I might be interested to participate in.

I will start up an Esperanto Learning log, but I would like others to "own " this thread along with me.

If anyone is interested in starting Esperanto learning from scratch, please respond or PM me!

Esperanto can be learnt online at no cost at all to you.

I'm interested in learning it, but I have a little much on my plate at the moment. You have my moral support though!

I would like to learn Esperanto at some point in the future, I'm just a bit saturated in my Portuguese studies at the moment.

UPDATE: two people have PMd me about this. (will get back to you both!)

if you are interested, sign up on Lernu.net to start with.
Completely free and very exhaustive site!

Once we have signed up, we can "friend" each other on that site, so we have a little community.

They make recommendations on how to get started, and have tons of audio and written "mini courses" and various recommended study path depending on preferences (reading vs converation etc)

(An enourmous amount of volountary labour has gone into that site for sure; it's localised to a high standard into masses of languages.. I love it already!)

EDIT: POSTER OF "UNCLE SAM" SAYING "I WANT TO YOU ALL TO LEARN English" IS REMOVED!

^^try this free downloadable course, its very simple, very easy.

The language itself is very easy, you can be completely fluent in a year if you work hard, the grammar and vocab is very very simple.

Hey Datsunking! Thanks for the tip and encouragement! I'll check that out!
I have been distracted by Russian, this MONSTER language which you can hammer away at like a madman and still get hardly nowhere.

If anybody reading this wants to friend with me on "lernu.net" , my nick is "neopennia"

I've just started learning Esperanto, cordelia0507. I don't know much at all right now but I'd be happy to form a group for learning it.
