When some English language movies are translated (either dubbed or subtitled)into another language the movie titles are sometimes kept in English. At other times the title is a direct translation. For example the science fiction movie The Thing was"La Cosa",in Spanish, literally "The Thing"."
Other titles are trickier. I would like to suggest a thread where we list the foreign ( i.e., the target language) title and its literal translation and then the English title. Kind of a fun quiz (I hope). Very good job you did with the translations and everything.
I guess we guys here are really creative about this. For example the movie called The Maid. In Brazilian Portuguese it is Um Encontro de Amor. Literally, A love encounter.
