Aljazeera English are showing a series of documentaries about various social issues in Latin America. The films are made by local film makers and focus on a particular issue as seen from the perspective of one individual. The documentaries are in Spanish or Portuguese with English subtitles and make for excellent listening practice as well as being interesting subject matter in themselves. Highly recommended.
