I've been looking to find German TV shows online, however, they must be relatively simple

You can find cartoons like 'South Park' or 'Sponge Bob Schwammkopf', sketch comedy in 'Lady Kracher', a Larry David type comedy (Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm) with 'Pastewka', late night style talk show with 'TV Total' or even political debates in 'Absolute Mehrheit'. Why don't http://www.myspass.de allow you to watch anything before 10 in the evening?

Myspass does let you watch things before 10 in the evening; I've just watched an episode
of Spongebob Schwammkopf. I imagine there is some age restriction on whatever you're trying to watch, meaning it must be shown later. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Not sure what you can get online, but the various SOKOs are all pretty good - I've watched more SOKO Leipzig than the others. Der letzte Zuege is also good. Both these start from late 90s, early 00s. Tatort is also worth looking out for - it's a very long running series that has episodes with different teams in different locations. Polizeiruf 110 is a similar show, though I've not seen any of those - it was the DDR equivalent of Tatort. 1 person has voted this message useful |
