Update on the fly
Chiming in to make that update I mentioned in my previous post. After being computer less for the most part of January I thought my troubles were over and could continue/start studying without other hitches. Let's say I was right…for what concerns the technological side. My desktop computer was fixed and I got a new laptop to replace my old one, which couldn’t be repaired.
Unfortunately, things haven't been going as much as well on the health side. I had to deal with a strong flu back in February and was only able to study French with some English and Spanish here and there. Around mid-February I also started to suffer from anxiety attacks, something which obviously does impact my daily activities, language study included. I’m currently undergoing treatment, but recovery will probably take a long time.
For now, I will continue to study and try to stick to my activity schedule in the best way I can. Over the last few days I began to revise my old study plan and will post the new version soon :)

Sorry to hear about your flu and anxiety attacks, those issues can really impact daily life. I too have some anxiety disorders, and though I'm mostly better, they are still always there in the back of my mind. A big issue for me was simply accepting that I'm not in control, and just accepting that I can't control everything in life—anxiety and panic attacks included—just accepting them as something out of my control causes them to happen less frequently (for me anyways). Now I just need to deal with the pesky depression.
I sympathize a lot and I hope you find a way to cope! I enjoyed reading your log and I hope you continue to improve in your studies.
good luck!

suzukaze,
How's things? I know you were having some health troubles which were (and may still
be) interferring with your time and energy devoted to language learning. I hope things
have improved and you're still able to do some language study. If you need a break, I
understand. However if you want to join many of us over on the " how-to-learn-any-
language.org " website feel free (or continue here). The .org website was started when
this website crashed and looked like it wasn't coming back. Still technical issues are
possibly going to arise again here with htlal.com so many of us are making the new
website home, a more reliable one at least. Feel free to come and join in the French
learning again, if you're up to it.
regards,
PM
