I am teaching myself French and on the look out for different resources, I thought it might be interesting to read French blogs. If anyone here reads French blogs I'd like the following:

The link
The subject of the blog
Why they would recommend it

Iam not just looking for language blogs or blogs about France, although I am interested in people's opinions on them too. But I am more interested in blogs French people write about their daily lives, their struggles, politics etc. Also something a bit more cultural e.g. French music, cinema, writings etc.

Thanks in advance

I found one which promises to teach you fluent English in just 30 days spending only 20 minutes a day. If
that is not the guarantee for a serious claim, I do not know what is :-)

I have a list of RSS Feeds with EMK share, this has links to a lot of French websites for programming, comedy and comics. I can't figure out how upload a file here to this forum.

I can't find the thread now. I have exported an OPML file you can use to import into your own RSS feed reader.

Here are all my favorite French blogs in OPML format. This list contains dozens of blogs, organized by category. You should be able to import them directly into most blog-reading software. (I use Feedly.)

For a very casual blog about personal life (and parenting), see Girls and Geeks. Warning: Some content is NSFW, but unless your coworkers read French, it's mostly just one image in the page header. This blog, by the way, is a great example of very casual spoken French from an adult with a writer's vocabulary.

For much shorter pieces about the minor disasters of daily life, the list includes Vie de Merde. If you're working on spoken French and day-to-day life, this is an amazing source of SRS cards, because the stories are highly memorable, pretty funny, and typically about a sentence or two long.

There's lots of other stuff on the list: Topito, humor sites, a lawyer's blog, an absolutely hilarious series of cartoons about life as a programmer, and so on. Enjoy!

It might be a lot more useful for you to specify what kinds of blogs you enjoy reading. As it is, you're asking people to take time out of their day to go through their feeds and pick out the best of the best, and format their choices in a manner that you prefer, in the vague hope that you may have even remotely similar interests.

I really love the podcast/blog "One Thing In a French Day." It's written by a French woman who lives just outside Paris. She's a freelance writer raising three young daughters with her husband. She chooses an incident from everyday life and recounts the adventure, in French. Common topics include: favorite books, movies, family vacations, happenings at her daughters' schools, food.

http://onethinginafrenchday.podbean.com/

She also publishes a newsletter to go along with the podcast, highlighting key vocabulary and grammar structures. I don't get the newsletter, so I can't say more about it.

I really enjoy it, because it's like having a little window into French everyday life. You end up feeling that you really know this wonderful French family.

How exactly do you add that into feedly? Is there a
way to make them all appear or do you have to put
in each one individually?
