Hoi Fasulye, dank je! I hope that I can speak both Dutch and German with you one day over Skype :)

Some quick updates on my progress:

French
I am finally done with the novel "Moka". Overall, I have enjoyed reading the book, especially the intense emotions the protagonist went through after her son was left in a coma, and her blind feverish pursuit for the hit-and-run driver. However, the ending was somewhat disappointing. Nevertheless, it's still a very good read, and worth 4.5stars out of 5.

Korean
I completed chapter 6 of my Dekiru Kankokugo Beginners 2 textbook.

Oh my, the thought that 2010 is drawing to an end soon kinda makes me feel that I am growing older...time flies so fast, it has been 2 years since I live in Switzerland, and I am glad that I can understand Swiss German more and more.

Here's my progress for the past 2 days:

Japanese
I am on page 30 of the the novel "Chi to Hone" (volume 2) by the author Yaong Sogil. I am glad that the story shifts its focus on the children (at least the first 30 pages that I have read so far in volume 2), rather than on the violent father, on which volume 1 focussed too much. On top of that, I have been listening with much pleasure to the podcast "Ito Yoichi's Round Up World" available on itunes.

Dutch
I completed chapter 2 last evening, and had a quick glance through chapter 3 of the Lextra Sprachkurs textbook, and chapter 3 will explore more regarding 'apartments', ie. how big our apartment is, how many rooms do we have, kitchen, rooms etc.

Spanish
I completed chapter 10 of the Assimil Using Spanish. However, I think I will listen to it a couple more times before I move forward to a new lesson.

Korean
I completed chapter 7 of the dekiru kankokugo textbook.

I proceeded to chapter 3 of my Dutch textbook, and the following are the words that I have learnt:

waar woon je?
waar ist dat?
lig in Amsterdam Oost
wat voor woning heb je?
ik woon in...
hoeveel kamers heb je?
een tweekamerflat
een woonkamer
een slaapkammer
een badkamer
een keuken
vrig groot
woon je alleen
ik woon samen met...
het centrum van de stad
een buitenwijk
samen met
lekke lustig
hoe laat?
een mooie badkamer
redelijk groot
beneden
boven

However, I have one question, because in my textbook, it's written 'een grrot huis',
but I wonder whether is it a printing error? Should that be 'een groot huis'?

Thanks in advance if any Dutch speakers could comment on this? Thanks! :)

Hey Noriyuki,

It is indeed a printing error. It should be "Een groot huis", A Big House. "En" being the Dutch "and", "een"
being the Dutch "a".

EDIT: Some more mistakes in your list.

waar ist dat? Waar is dat? You seem to be confusing the German "ist", with the Dutch "is".
vrig groot Vrij groot Meaning: Fairly big
lekke lustig Lekker rustig Most likely a typo, but just pointing it out.

Good luck with your studies!
