Hey everyone out there.

This is my Learning Log about my English abilities. My goal/target(which one is better?) is to reach the CAE until the beginning of 2012. As you can see at the moment my level is B2.

The first milestone will be at 300 hours spend on the language.

I would like you to write me, if you find any errors, especially incorrect or bad word choice.

Further if anyone would like to help me with my speak abilities, please call me directly over skype or write me a PM.

Before anyone asks, my teaching tools(?) are:

Thematischer Grund- und Aufbauwortschatz Englisch - Klett Verlag - ISBN-9783264833034
Company to Company - Cambridge University Press - ISBN-9780521609753
New English file - Oxford - ISBN-9780194518000
English vocabulary in use - Cambridge University Press - ISBN-9780521011716
Oxford Practice Grammar - Oxford - ISBN-0194309134

-----
recommendation:
I do not recommend you the last 3 books. They do not really fit to me. I am going to search some new stuff, any recommendation?

Good luck with your journey!

P.S.: Besides the Advice/Questions sub-forum people usually don't correct each other on this forum. It's outsourced ; ) However, I don't have a lot to complain about your English. Maybe goal instead of target, listening comprehension instead of audio comprehension, and some few other things, but where I am not really sure about it.

@Meerlämmchen

Hmmm, schön das Du nicht auf Deutsch schreibst, das wäre ja eher kontraproduktiv xD

Thanks

Kind regards

Excuse me, but didn't you mean CAE?

I suppose you did, since google didn't show me any exam or level called CEA and it would make sense. Sorry if I am wrong.

During my preparation for CAE, I have highly used the English grammar in use by Murphy. It helped a lot with various grammar structures, don't know what is your Oxford grammar book like. I'd as well advice you to focus a lot on studying phrasal verbs and, when you feel you are around the required C1 level, buy a book specifically preparing for the exam, with sample tests and exercises (for example CAE gold). I hadn't had it (and passed), but it would have been great help.

Good luck with your studies, I believe you are on the best way to pass.

Vocabulary commerce

Reviewed 4 Unites in the Company to Company book due to the written test next week.
Around 45 minutes

Sometimes the English correspondence is very close or similar to the French although the French love traditional and old sounding phrases.

Further more I did some pronunciation exercises about 40 minutes

Grammar

As you could read above I am going to pass (or even fail) my final formation exam next week. So I did a bit of grammar review at Present and Past tenses.

An other hour spending on Futurama, yes, I like this series.

With some reading my English studies for today are now finished.

180
+ 200 from today
-----------------
380 minutes = 6 hour and 20 minutes
