Mandarin Chinese-I retty much have native fluency. I'm looking to read ( maybe even write!) simplified Chinese. German:I have absolutely no knowledge on this language. I have the textbook series " German Demystified ". I hope to reach at least a b1 level by next year. Started with the book "German Demystified: A self teaching guide" by Ed Swick. I can now form basic yes/no questions with wer, was, wo. I can answer them with "Das ist...". I can also introduce myself "ich heiße..." and have a simple "how are you" kind of conversation. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

6/10/11 German I found a resource here: http://fsi-language-courses.org/Content.php?page=German%20F AST I also practiced introducing myself to people (standing in front of a mirror). --- I have decided to start listening to German music, especially rap. I think listening to German rap (and attempting to actually rap it) helps me understand German when they are talking REALLY fast.
