Hi everyone,
Just kicking off my log here. It's going to be mostly a record of me learning to speak Mandarin but I expect to throw in some notes on advanced Japanese from time to time. I'll be keeping this log for exactly one year. I'm also not really concentrating on learning to read (not going to stress out trying to pick up new characters). My biggest focus is learning to speak and to pass a verbal-only language test for employment with the US government. However, I'm not completely neglecting the reading skills. So let's begin. 6/9/2011 漢語 - I'm working through two sources at the moment. FSI and New Practical Chinese Reader. Today I just finished FSI module 1 unit 3 and NPCR lesson 5. 漢語 - Made a big dent in FSI module 1 unit 4 and spent some time chatting with some Chinese people in English on sharedtalk. Need to do unit 3 workbook this weekend. 日本語 - 7 new kanji from 漢検４級. 1 person has voted this message useful |
