Bonjour/Konnichiwa

I am still a beginner in both languages. But, I have a habit of taking on a lot. I
started Japanese because of my 20+ years in martial arts. I hope to go to Japan someday.
Also, some martial art texts are only in Japanese; but, they are being translated more
and more. I started French because my son is taking French in high school and we are
doing it as a family project.

Yesterday I watched FIA Physical Characteristics II and went through French with Ease
chapters 1-7. Still a review for me; but, reviewing is always good.

Yesterday I watch FIA Kinship and did lessons 8 and 9 of French with Ease. Tonight I will
review lessons 1-9 to help internalize them.

Budonoseito-san,

Good luck with the languages, especially Japanese! -_^ Just curious, what martial arts do you study? My boyfriend does (well, did) Aikido and while I have no desire to study it myself I find the various moves and techniques fascinating. ^_^

I have trained in a lot. Tae Known Do, Hapkido, Aikido, Kosho Kempo, Iaido, and
aikijujutsu. I am teaching Kempo and still training in iaido and jodo with occasional
seminars on other stuff.

Watched FIA kinship lesson. I will watch that again since my comprehension was a little
low. Review French With Ease lessons 1 - 9. Feeling pretty good with them.

I practice hiragana for an hour. Then practiced ready hiragana with Japanese for
Everyone. Reviewing some LiveMocha lessons for some reading comprehension and review of
vocabulary.

Through lesson 14. Trying to do 2 sessions a day. One session may just be review; but,
multiple exposures seem to be working well so far.

This weekend I plan on review hiragana and start kanji for Japanese.

A Father's Day road trip cut into my weekend, but, family is more important.

I am up to French with Ease chapter 16 and reading 'Read Japanese Today' to learn Kanji.
It uses a story of the creation of the kanji to help you remember them.
