Herewith my TAC2011 self-challenge: completing specific study resources for both French and German languages and acquiring a particular number of vocabulary items in Japanese, all by the end of 2011. I will use this log simply to record my progress, and will continue to maintain a separate log (20 in 20) for my more narrative ramblings.
French (mostly during the first half of the year): 200 hours of study 200 hours of active listening to French media (movies, television, radio, audiobooks, podcasts) FSI Basic (I and II) FSI Phonology (for a second time) Le petit prince and En attendant Godot BBC: French Steps, Talk French, Ma France and French Experience (parts 1 and 2) Michel Thomas, Advanced French French.about.com – 200 article pages or activities German (mostly during the second half of the year): 250 hours of study Michel Thomas, Beginner German Pimsleur I, II and III FSI, Programmed Introduction FSI , Basic Deutsche Welle, Warum Nicht (all four series) BBC, German Steps German.about.com – Beginners Lessons (twenty units) Japanese vocabulary (throughout the entire year): 1000 new kanji (continuing with Heisig's Remembering the Kanji) 1000 new words via kana 2 persons have voted this message useful | |
