Hi zekecoma, I'm glad you're back! I'm not a native speaker of German and, as you know, not even a terribly advanced speaker of it, but I had a go at making just a couple of corrections for you, since it seems like not a lot of other people have the time to make them for you. Please take them with a grain of salt, until we can get confirmation from a real German, though. :) Hopefully someone will come along and "correct my corrections" soon! I totally made up the word "Wortbehaltensfähigkeit" (word-remembering-ability), but I was just trying to illustrate a concept: you know how Germans love big words, and it wouldn't surprise me if there's a way to express this in one word (even if it's not the one I invented!). * = There are various words for "ticket" depending on what sort of ticket it is. A "Fahrkarte" is like what you show the controller on the metro. If you mean a plane ticket here, that's "der Flugschein." ** = I'm not entirely sure what you were trying to say here: is it "I will have to pay for the ticket myself?" ok, now the "corrections of the correstions" (well, not so many anyway): Ich wünschte, dass ich mehr Wörter sagen und schreiben könnte. Ich mache mir Sorgen um meine Fähigkeit, Wörter zu behalten. (Jinx, you are absolutly right about the long words that are prefered by Germans ;) but in this case it doesn't make any sense, I can't even tell you why. But in general very long words are more common in an administrative context because they sound somehow more accurate). Ich werde nicht im August nach Deutschland reisen können Btw. the German word for plane ticket is NOT Flugschein (which would rather refer to a driver's license for planes) but Flugticket! Thanks so much for your prompt improvement upon my corrections, Emiliana! I was hesitant to make any at all, but it's reassuring to me to see that I didn't make too many mistakes after all in my attempt at explaining a few things. You can be sure that I'm taking careful note of everything you said for future reference. :) P.S. Ich werde morgen die zweite Welle anfangen. Ich hoffe, dass ich mich an die Wörter
erinnere. Wahrscheinlich werde ich mich an die Wörter erinnere. Lange Worte sind komisch, wie man versucht die Wörter zusammenzusetzen. Ich hoffe, dass sie ist eine gute Satz. Ich kann nicht warten, bis ich kann besser sprechen und schreiben. Ich hat nie gedacht, dass ich auf Deutsch oder andere Sprache sprechen würde. Ich habe gerade Lektion 50 und Lektion 1 (zweite Welle) erledigen. Lektion 1 ist leicht
heehe. Lektion 50 ist nicht leicht. Einige Worte sind schwierig, aber es ist gut. Ich hoffe, dass ich es bald lernen werde. Ich gebe Wörter in Parley ein, die ich vorher vergessen habe. I finished lesson 54/5 but I honestly don't think I'm doing it that good. I gotten 99% so
far right, but I think I've been learning Assimil the wrong way and the words and phrases aren't sticking correctly. But then again that could be all in my head. I honestly don't know. I think once the lessons start getting harder, in the second set of lessons is when I will start having more doubt about my ability. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

If you've gotten 99% right, that sounds like it's sticking in your head to me! Don't worry about memorizing everything right away. As far as I know, the secret to Assimil is that the phrases become quickly recognizeable even if you don't feel like you're memorizing them. Just listen to the audio as much as possible and keep working through the lessons. If you've got some easy reading in German as well, I find that reading is often the best way to come across the Assimil sentences I've learned.
BTW, I think it's great that you're constantly writing in the language, whatever you know how to say. That's the way to keep improving! 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Hallo Leute. Ich habe nicht in lange Zeit geschrieben. Ich habe gerade Lektion 59/9
erledigt. Ich habe doch einigen Fehler aber nicht viel. Ich benutze Linux und KDE4 auf Deutsch. Ich glaube, das es vielleicht mir helfe. Ich habe auch Russisch lernen beschlossen, aber nicht Französisch. Ich liebe gerade Russisch. Hehe. Ich hatte ein wenig eingeschlafen. Es macht mir Zeit in der Lektion vergessen. Ich habe die Lektion zwei Tagen zu lesen. Ich muss es halten. @Jinx. Vielen Dank für das. Ich versuche ;P. Es daft nicht gut sein. Ich hatte auch für eine Arbeit bewerben. Ich sollte bald ein Vorstellungsgespräch haben. Wann die Arbeit ich besorge, ich werde in Hamburg wohnen. Hoffentlich, es mir ein wenig mit Deutsch helfen. Ich will nicht gerade für Deutsch. Aber ja. Ich habe auch vier deutsches Buch gekauft.
