Hey all,

So I just started Pimsleur Russian I, and I was wondering, those of you who have done the whole series for Russian, which level corresponding to A1, A2, ....C1, C2, etc, do you get to by the end of Pimsleur Russian 3? I mean approximately, if someone started from scratch and not knowing any other vocab prior to starting the audio program? I want to say it might be A1 or A2, but would like other (more experienced) opinions on this.

Thank youuuu!

Well, the three levels combined teach you around 600 words you should be somewhere
between A1 and A2 after completing the three levels.

Still only A1 after three levels of Pimsleur (CEFR A1 requires about 500 words and CEFR A2 needs 1000-1500 words) and the absence of writing and reading, as well as limited listening comprehension, means you will only be able to pass one section. {BTW I got this info from http://deutschkurse.dw-world.de/dw_static_content/langerklae rung_en.html - obviously for German, but it applies to all other European languages}

Still I wouldn't knock it - Having completed it and the 'Plus' course in a number of languages - it is a good, if slow programme, that sets the foundation for learning the intricacies of European languages at least. Its just too expensive.....
