I just like the freedom of forms in English. Since it has such a loaded history with much influence from other languages and since it's used so widely throughout the world English has acquired somewhat of an "ad-hoc" character. Also, there's no "Académie française" or "Rat für deutsche Rechtschreibung" to tell people how they should use the language. People just use the language how they feel sounds the most natural. That gives the language very great flexibility and adaptability.
