I was contemplating getting the supermemo vocab program, but was wondering if anyone has tried to use
supermemo with a mac with a virtual drive. And, if it runs right.

I would suggest you instead get Anki.

It uses the same algorithm as supermemo but it is free, has a better interface, gets
continuously updated and you can download lots of plugins that expand its usability and
lots of shared decks. You can get Anki on multiple formats, including mac.
