hello all, i was wondering if anybody here could tell me any links to where I could find some solid vocabulary lists for Hindi. I have mastered the grammar and need to fill in the gaps but any website I go to doesn't use the Devanagari script so I don't know exactly how to pronounce the vocab correctly.
thanks

For languages that don't have a lot of "hand-holding" type of textbooks all the way to advanced level, you have to start using native materials a lot sooner. I'd say that perhaps it'd be more useful to find some novels and a decent dictionary, and start working through it.

Yet me know if they are, I would like to learn Hindi 1 day but the apparent lack of resources is a little off-putting.

Glad to see other people on here are learning Hindi

The lack of resources keeps coming up but really there are enough out there as discussed in other threads on here.

Hindi has a LOT of native language material available. It has the most prolific film industry on the planet from which
tons of music comes from.

Yes, its been said that Bollywood is a film factory that churns out lots of cookie-cutter story-lines dressed up with song and
dance (instead of with action and special effects like Hollywood does). But there are plenty of good Bollyfilms and even the
crappy ones seem to have good music and plenty of eye candy. For me they are a good break from the depressing historical war
epics I tend to watch.
