Wow, what a blast from the past! The post on the previous page was my first ever on this forum. I didn't think that anyone was reading this deep into the HTLAL "archives".

It's the official language of Gibraltar, seeing as we're a British Dependent Territory. As I've mentioned in other posts (dig deep enough and you'll find them), everyone speaks English as their native language (some more natively than others!), most of us also speak Spanish fairly natively (although, unfortunately, this is declining) and "true" Gibraltarians also speak Llanito.
