Hello,

I have a little question concerning dictionaries. For English, I have great Macmillan's English dictionary for advanced learners. It is monolingual and there is one great feature. The most important and most used words are marked with stars. I find it very useful. Is there a french dictionary with similar thing?

And have you tried puting descriptions on flash cards (or anki) instead of the word's meaning in another language? I think of doing this when I have time to create my own deck for french and would like to know whether it is not useless.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
