Although English is my first language, I am fluent in two other languages (non-
European), can write in two scripts and have studied German for a year at uni as a side
module.
My boyfriend is Swedish and I can understand a LOT of Swedish and conduct basic
conversation. I've lived in Sweden for a bit but never bothered to pick it up because
tbh I didn't need it whilst I was there.
Anyway I have four months off this summer and would like to learn Swedish. Here's my
plan:
-Work my way through the Regina Harkin's Speak Swedish with Confidence mp3 (my
boyfriend thought the Swedish on that was old- 'No one in Sweden talks like that' ha)
-Work my way through A1+A2 Rivstart. I bought the next one (B1+ B2 Rivstart) in the
series as well.
-I'll be with my boyfriend for almost four months- CONVERSATION PRACTISE!
I am willing to work hard, I love Swedish and find it frustrating that although I
understand a lot, I can't really conduct conversations beyond a basic level.
What level could I expect to reach? A2? B1?
