Hello everybody.
Does anybody know about the pronunciation type used in the “Teach Yourself Ancient Greek Complete Course” by Gavin Betts? It is a very interesting that they use any audio at all. Look at the course here 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

There is no audio for this course, nor for the full Latin course or the Sanskrit course. The only classical language Teach Yourself courses that feature audio are Beginner's Latin and Old English.

Assimil has audio for both Latin and Ancient Greek methods. In the first case the pronunciation is from Cicero and Caesar's age ("C" = /k/, "V" = /w/); the Greek one is Attic dialect if I remember properly.

I know, that Assimil has Ancient Greek, but it is in French. I am not ready for that yet. I want learn first, the Modern Greek and use it to move into Ancient one later. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

The Classical Latin pronunciation in Assimil Latin sans Peine is overlaid with a heavy Gallic accent, and fairly inconsistent at times.
