Since Russia and China have had a formative influence on the Mongolian region, I am assuming that there are probably more resources in Chinese and Russian for a prospective student of Mongolian than is the case for English, or any other Western European language. I would like to ask anyone with a sufficient knowledge of Chinese or Russian whether this is in fact the case. Do online bookstores carry any reasonably good-looking resources for learning Mongolian?

Chinese: Looking at Joyo and Dangdang there seem to be a number of resources for advanced students (Grammars, works on syntax and morphology) and quite a few dictionaries (Including frequency and proverb dictionaries), plus lots of books IN Mongolian (A couple of them bilingual Chinese/Mongolian), but it's pretty skimpy when it comes to actual textbooks and things for beginning students.

Russian: The online online Russian bookstores I know of are Bolero and Kniga, and I didn't notice anything on either of them. I know there are Russian books on Mongolian though, it's probably just that those are older works (Soviet era for sure) and more scholarly things that don't have much of a market.
