Interesting topic. I think for me my most successful language learning time takes place in the winter and summer. The summer, obviously, because I have plenty of time since I don't have school and can dedicate all my time to my language studies. I'm not sure why I can work well in the winter though. I think the cold just makes me concentrate better.
In contrast, spring and autumn always seem to be hectic times for me, and my language studies suffer. I honestly can't remember what I was working on for my studies in say, September or October, and the past two months have been frighteningly unproductive.

I probably learn more in the summer, as I'm not in school or teaching. I love to get up early, head outside before
the sun gets hot, spread my things out on a table in the shade, and study until there's no shade to be found!
Although I've "studied" languages during semesters, most of my real progress has come through my slow summer
morning ritual. Soon, soon ....

I think for me, winter, as theres not much to do and a lot of time is spent in doors.
I think real life is more likely to come knocking in the summer!

I don't have a specific season but I do have a specific weather - rainy days. When it's raining outside I don't feel so bad about being sat, cooped up in the house over a language book. ;)

I'm able to do my best in the summer. I'm not sure why, but I usually do the hardest reading (both fiction and nonfiction) in the summer months, and I have better success with language learning, too, despite the heat.
That's kind of strange because I dislike any temperature that is not 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
All the bookstores I know have "summer beach reading" promotions of light, fun reading, but to me that doesn't make much sense. I like lighter fare sometimes too, but my energy is usually better in the summer so I get more difficult things done.
I think it was different back when I was in school, though. Back then I just wanted to recover from all the work of the school year. But now that's a long time ago so I work according to a different schedule (if you can call it a schedule!).

I do my worst studying in the spring. Spring is my least favorite season. I always get sick this time of year, due to allergies, which slows me down especially in regard to starting new languages. Summer is sometimes a good season for me to study languages, or anyhting else, but the nice weather can be distracting sometimes.
My best seasons for studying seem to be fall and winter. I think colder weather is better for studying, as I am less tempted to be outside doing other things .

How I wish the weather could be more of a factor in my language learning. Then I could say, "Well, I couldn't finish that Assimil chapter because the sun was in my eyes" or "my feet were cold." Instead I have to figure out where the lost time is going. If I'm doing well it's because I concentrate despite everything else going on around me -- which would be something akin to a tornado, I suppose..
