I feel the exact same way when I spend 5+ hours concentrating on languages. I'm glad
others feel the same way... I'm not such a freak.

Not necessarily for the same reason, But on certain days where it just seems my brain is more "on" than usual and going 100%, I'll read a piece of news or an article in French and it just "makes sense", but not like I usually understand things. Most of the time, except with simpler things, I stumble every sentence or two and have to put it together saying to myself "ok this is what that means", basically translating it into English in my head so I can get it. I comprehend it but it still doesn't feel natural. But on these occasions the words just come to me like French might as well be the only language I know. My brain completely understands everything no English "explanation" needed. It's hard to explain, though I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. There's really no better feeling for me. It's not a high, but it feels great to see my hard work paying off.
