Do you get audio CD's or Cassette tapes with it? It's just that on the description it says "contains paperback and audio cassettes".

I have the Assimil chinese books. It was quite expensive and doesn't have very much content. A cheaper and better
alternative are the 'chinese made easy' books.

Yes they have audio. I bought mine from http://www.chinesemadeeasy.co.uk . I'm from the UK like you.

Books 1-3 use both pinyin and chinese chaacters. books 4-5 don't use pinyin much.

You have a choice between simplified and traditional characters. Make sure you choose textbook and not work
book.

I like them maybe you will be different.

Thank you and I am always happy to learn and maybe try other things.

Theres that many programs out there, When starting new it is hard to know which are good or not.
