I probably knew around 1800 passively, probably 1,000 well, but never knew how many I knew actively. I stopped studying Japanese, so I'd be surprised if it's even 500 now.

Between 100 - 200 I would say. It's not a focal point of my studies since I don't have much time. I pick up some here and there when I watch TV.
