Hello!
Apologies if this has been covered; I was unable to find what I needed using the search function. I need a word
processor for Mac (specifically my MacBook Air) that has fonts compatible with BOTH traditional chinese hanzi as
well as hungarian.
Interestingly, my iPhone has these fonts "built-in" but I need to be able to type on my laptop... very tedious using
iPhone for typing.
Thank you for any advice!
Michael

I have never tried to type Chinese, but I don't think you need to buy extra software. I think all you need is a Unicode
savvy word processor and the right fonts. I think TextEdit, OpenOffice or LibreOffice will do the job. I think the
necessary fonts are installed in Mac OS X as default. Try to google mac os x and chinese, and you'll probably find
out soon. Hungarian should not pose any problems whatsoever.

I suspected most "good" word processors would have this function; however, I am very new to Mac products and
was unsure what Mac friendly word processor was "ideal". (I'm kind of surprised my MacBook Air didn't have a
"built-in" word processor). Anyhow, I will look into what you have mentioned above.
I really appreciate your response! Thank you.

TextEdit is "built-in", but as Bushwick said, it's quite simple.

The Mac has different fonts built in under system preferences in language and text. Any word processor built for
the mac should be able to recognize these fonts. I just checked the options and it does have keyboard settings for
traditional and simplified Chinese variants, as well as Hungarian.
