If I may, I'd sure like to see another Japanese short story :)

what Unzum wrote was right at my reading level and it was fun to read!

(even if I did have to use my kanji dict. for some of it ;))

Bedankt voor de correcties. Ik was een beetje lui en heb het niet volledig beproefd. Ik heb een methode ontwikkeld warmee ik fouten kan verminderen maar ik heb vergeten het te gebruiken

interessez-vous commencer un sujet des haikus en les langues etrangeres?

Ce serait vachement intéressant de commencer un fil au sujet de haïkus en langues étrangères. Je vais essayer d’en composer en Luxembourgeois. Mais je pense qu’il faut les traduire en anglais aussi. En fait, le tien est très rythmique en anglais :

It would be really interesting to start a thread about haikus in foreign languages. I am going to try to compose one in Luxembourgish. However, I think we need to translate them into English as well. In fact, yours is very rhythmic in English:

I like French, however
Alas, French does not like me
Ah, such a sad story

Also, would you define haiku as something at least close to a 5-7-5 pattern for this subject?

Also, sorry for the lapse into Dutch sans translation above.

O.K., here is my attempt at a haiku in Luxembourgish:

Ech schwätze Lëtzebuergesch
Lëtzebuergesch? Komesch! Wat ass dat?
Dat ass eng flotte Sprooch!

I speak Luxembourgish
Luxembourgish? Weird! What’s that?
That is a cool language!
