…when you go to IKEA ostensibly to look at furniture and become engrossed in all the
random Swedish books that decorate the bookshelves (they aren't just props!). I was literally pulled away from them. Regarding Eyjafjallajökull, I was actually asked how to pronounce the name of that glacier by some people who knew I've been learning Icelandic. I was also asked about how to pronounce Eyjafjallajökull, even though I'm not studying Icelandic... It's a good thing I've dabbled in Icelandic before and knew how to sound it out!

When you watch a movie on YouTube where the dialogue switches between English, Spanish, and Portuguese
throughout the film and immediately go to Amazon to see if it's available as a Region 1 DVD (it is :-D). Edit: Or you don't even care what region the DVD is because you asked for a codeless DVD player for your birthday to watch all of your foreign films.
