Here is a list of language learning sites you can use for most languages, all of which
include Finnish. And since I am learning Finnish, I will also include Finnish only
sites at the bottom. These are all FREE.
http://www.byki.com/
*A downloadable program. Watch the video.
http://lang-8.com/
*An online journal where you can write entries in the language you're learning and have
native speakers correct them. Watch the video.
http://www.livemocha.com/
*It's like Rosetta Stone, but FREE. The number of lessons vary for each language. Watch
the video.
http://www.digitaldialects.com/
*Games vary for each language, but this is a good way to build up practical vocabulary.
http://iteslj.org/v/
*For ESL students, but you can also use it to learn your target language. Good way to
build up vocabulary.
FINNISH ONLY:
http://www.fincd.com/
*Finnish-English dictionary
http://www.verbix.com/languages/finnish.shtml
*Finnish verb conjugator
http://www.uta.fi/~km56049/finnish/
*Finnish grammar
http://www.hei-finland.com/
*Hear common Finnish phrases spoken here.
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=99A0C61D8059FD96
*An entire Finnish audio/visual course uploaded onto Youtube
http://www.yle.fi/opinportti/supisuomea/
*Created by YLE (Finland's national broadcasting company). All in Finnish (think total
immersion), with videos, grammar lessons, and exercises.
http://www.edu.fi/oppimateriaalit/suomeaolehyva/
*All in Finnish, with grammar lessons and exercises
http://www.oneness.vu.lt/fi/
*An interactive site with 10 Finnish lessons
GOOD LUCK!

Wiktionary pretty much has every single Finnish word in existance listed. xD If you ever run into a word and cannot identify it with Wiktionary, Google Translate or your dictionary, it's either archaic, slang, or spelt wrong.
For archaisms, poetic language and the like, I'd recommend Raimo Jussila's Kalevalan Sanakirja. Great book!
As for the Teach Yourself Finnish Book by Terttu Leney, don't waste your money on it, because it's a piece of crap.

I found the above to be true, unfortunately although Teach Yourself Finnish is presented pretty well, it really doesn't... teach much

Thanks for posting these links! I will add them to my Finnish resources list. I have been learning vocabulary on Byki and I find it useful for that.
