There was a program on American television where it was claimed that Bhutan was the happiest. I think Cordelia0507 would like that show, because it claims that happiness has nothing to do with material circumstances.
Strine and Canadian appear to have some, albeit superficial, similarities so USAian, so I will add those to my Loom of Languages.

I agree - learn a language that makes you happy. I feel happy with the languages I'm learning now, and it helps me
learn them more easily.
I know this wasn't exactly the OP's point, but it's a point that's sometimes missed.

If you want to be truly happy, become insane, insane people are the happiest people on earth, no lie.
Why?
Because, they have whatever they want. You can't tell them they aren't a king who lives in a castle and drives a Ferrari to slay dragons to rescue their 7568 wives, because in their mind, they do.

Everybody in the world wants to be happy. It is very sane to want to be happy. Insane people seem quite unhappy
to me.

There is no word for "sadness" in Tahitian, Chewong, and the African tribe of the NabuĂ.

Yeah, all of my formerly homeless, mentally ill clients at my old job were the most chipper people I've ever met, what with all their happy memories of shock therapy, being mugged/raped/assaulted on the streets, having constant nightmares, suffering constant social ostracism, and being told since childhood that they'd be nothing more than an invalid.
Being crazy! It's a picnic, really! They often expressed their constant joy by stockpiling weapons, going on manic breaks and waking up in a different city, hoarding useless possessions until they were penniless, and developing permanent incontinence and/or tardive dyskenesia due to their heavy medication regimens. Lots of fun for all.

I think we are on 2 separate pages, I mean people who live in their own reality and aren't aware that what they think is reality isn't. I can't
really think of how to explain it right now, I'm tired :\
But not all insane people are happy.
