Pbromide has made some nice posts about songs which Abba recorded in Swedish (not
many), and I think other of their songs recorded in Swedish by other people.
Does anyone know if the Norwegian band a-ha recorded anything in Norwegian?
And is there anything similar from Denmark, in Danish?
For my taste, I'd be talking about something as rocky as a-ha at their most robust, and
as melodic as Abba, and in which (I know it's asking a lot in Danish) you have a
chance of catching the lyrics?

Thanks Daegga. I'll see if I can find some of their studio stuff as live performances
don't always do artists justice. (Committed fans don't mind of course :) ).
Following a few YT links from that I found this (Lis Sorensen):

And there seem to be a few other names with Danish song titles, the prospects seem
reasonably hopeful for finding a range of songs in Danish(and not English!).
...
...
Not sure if it's my taste, but it does have lyrics:

Seems quite good (+lyrics): Innocent Blood:

So, quite hopeful.

The two I listen to once in a while is folk-rocker Lars Lilholt Band and the disco/pop duo Laban. Maybe not exactly what you're after, but they sing in Danish.
LLB lyrics:

To answer the question in the title: To my knowledge a-ha never recorded in Norwegian. However, lead singer Morten Harket has recorded five solo albums, of which two with Norwegian lyrics (Poetenes evanglium in 1993 and Vogts villa in 1996). You may find info on it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morten_Harket

I did a quick search for a couple of lists of best Danish albums etc., and here they are. The last one also has a quick comment about each release.
50 shortcuts to Danish rock
50 albums which make me proud to be Danish
Best Danish
And a quick google search for 80's hit songs (back then they were all in Danish) here:
