Years ago when I used to listen to a local NPR Jazz station at work, there would usually be a break in the music sometime during the day with a short one minute podcast from EarthSky about a popular scientific concept relating to biology, geology, astronomy or physics. EarthSky.org has funding provided by the US National Science Foundation. I recently re-discovered EarthSky online via twitter. There is also a Spanish language version of the website EarthSky en español with short articles and, sometimes videos/short podcasts. The articles/podcasts are not word for word translations but it might help learners to find the English first listen and/or read it before doing the same with the Spanish version.

I enjoyed this 60 second podcast "Captan el sonido de una ballen imitando la voz humana" ("Sound of a whale imitating the human voice is recorded").
