Perhaps someone could help me develop a more complete sense of the German word "Eindruck" which, in English, is sometimes translated as "impression"? In English, some common examples of "having an impression that ..." would be as shown below. Personally, I am under the impression that there is no significant difference between the English examples.
I have the impression that ... I am under the impression that ... I am of the impression that ... I am wondering if German permits a similar usage of "Eindruck" as in the following examples, of my own confection: Ich habe den Eindruck dass, ... Ich arbeite unter den Eindruck dass, ... Ich bin unter dem Eindruck dass, ... Ich bin vom Eindruck dass, ... Ich bin des Eindrucks dass, ... Do the examples that I have created make any sense in German?
