I agree with you here, hence my suggestion above.
Initially, it might take some time to find a native speaker who gives good corrections (you can probably tell by the explanations that he gives if he has a good grasp on his mother tongue), but after you found him you can just go through his corrections for other people.
Admittedly I have yet to come across a person who not only gives accurate corrections, but also valid grammatical explanations as a teacher would give them.
I imagine a resource collecting corrections of writing would be immensely beneficial to the language learner.
