In the United States, when a foreigner speaks English with an accent (Russian, Spanish, French, esp.) it is considered sexy. Is the reverse true or does an American accent just sound stupid?

I can't answer your question, but I would not say that foreign accents are always (or even often) considered sexy. It depends largely on the particular person and accent, as well as who that person is speaking to.

I think people are always intrigued and attracted to something 'different' than what they are usually accustomed to.
Certainly I remember an American student coming to London to study and had twice the amount of female attention than if he spoke like the rest of us.

I'm so accustomed to the sound of American English that I can't sense an accent whatsoever, it's just accent-neutral English for me. That is, at least the English that sounds in most Hollywood movies.

You could say the same for British guys over here. At least the ones around my area. Maybe we should switch
roles/ places for a week?

I'd say as a general rule, foreigners are more attractive and more interesting no matter where they are from. If the person is from a place that's of special interest to you, then they are that much more attractive/interesting. It even applies to the same sex. For instance, I even like meeting Russian males, because I'd consider that a valuable opportunity to practice the language. But in terms of females and sexual attraction...well, I'd say I've been at least a little interested in every foreign chick that crossed my path, even if I'd have written them off under normal circumstances.

It's almost entirely subjective. Some Australians love American accents and others abhor it.

You mean an American speaking another language besides English, and speaking that language with an accent?
