I am in the process of finishing Pimsleur Italian Level 3 and I'm trying to decide where
to go from here. My background is that I have achieved an advanced proficiency in
Spanish. I'm learning Italian because of its similarity to Spanish which I believe I can
leverage to decrease the amount of time and effort to achieve a C1 type level, in
addition to having several Italian friends that I can use to actually practice with.

Anyway, I've have very good experiences with the audio drill method for learning
languages. What are other Italian learner's recommendations for using as a follow up to
Pimsleur?

I did Pimsleur Italian through level 3 and found it really didn't do much for my vocabulary. Living language ultimate
Italian is pretty good for this. I know a lot of folks like Assimil.

You should have a pretty good base to start watching shows and movies in Italian. Expose yourself to as much
Italian as possible and you should progress pretty quickly.
