So I want to compile a list of noise words in Arabic, especially animal noises. Can anyone who knows Arabic help me?
قهقه squawk قرقر purr (cat) or rumble (like a tea kettle) صهل neigh (horse) بعبع bleat (sheep) قزقز crack صفر whistle صرصر click رفرف flap (as in wings) زئير roar (lion) If I think of more, I'll add! Please let me know any more you think of! 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

شبشب means "slipper" or "slippers." Could that have come from an onomatopoeia?
