When I started building my own learning materials, that better fitted my "logical"
mind. Existing materials left my "logical" mind always with nagging questions, and only
when I stopped accepting the answer "that's just the way it is!" and instead allowed
myself to dig deep into languages, and follow my own curiosity, did progress start to
sky-rocket. The heart of this approach is shown in my Spiral Method videos, but there
are other parts to it that I haven't shown yet - such as using mind-maps - that have
helped tremendously.

Overall, then, the "flip" occurred when I decided that I should be in control of the
learning resources and processes, rather than my previous feeling that they were in
charge of me.
