My mom told me today that I'm very strange/weird because I like studying languages, she says I'm "odd" and "out of the norm." I ignored her and walked quitely to my room, where I proceded to study.
she said "You need to stop thinking other countries are so cool, people will just think you're an idiot. You like anything that doesn't have to do with your own country, you'll just come off as an a**. I don't know one boy your age that does what you do, It's very strange. What's the point? All you do is waste your time, studying those stupid things that you'll never use."
I'm pretty angry right now, you think that parents would support a healthy hobby right? It's educational, and productive.
Supportive parents huh?
I can never do anything to make them happy. Ever.

Maybe you should reply with:
"Should I be a pompous, arrogant asshole that thinks the U.S. is better than every other country like many other people my age?"
My dad was the same way when he asked why I watched all the anime I do.

Dude, just ignore those comments. Do what you like. This is your life, after all. However,
talking back won't just a bit. It is nearly impossible to change minds of other people, so
use your time for something else.

She just yelled at me again, 5 minutes ago.
"You waste your freaking time, you don't do anything. It's all so worthless. All you care about is languages, They'll never do anything for you in life. I can't believe I have such a lazy son that doesn't get anything done."

So your parents criticize you for setting goals, having intellectual pursuits, and being independently motivated and
productive. It's sad what society has come to.
Kudos to you, though. One day you'll overhear your mother bragging to people about her son speaks five
languages.

I feel for you (my mother early on said that I would have been better off studying something else in my free time, not [insert Eastern European language here]), but eventually my parents just left me alone. None of us wanted to start spats over it.
Still you gotta love good 'ol homemade parochialism, huh? (*sarcasm*) What we don't know, we disapprove whenever we see fragments of it.

It just annoys me, not one thing I ENJOY is something that they do. They always have to think it's "weird or something or out of the normal" It's so annoying. For once they can never support me in anything that I enjoy doing.
She asked me the other what I wanted for christmas, I said the "Newly revised 7 Language Dictionary" which costs $5. That's it. She looked like she was ready to slap me silly.

In my experience, your situation is pretty common in monolingual environments. The way I
sometimes interpret it is as jealousy and intimidation as opposed to disapproval.
While most parents probably want their kids to be educated and capable of earning well,
many are uncomfortable with being intellectually eclipsed by them.
