Sick as of yesterday :( Left me lots of time to stay in bed reading over things though.
Just not sure how well it'll all stick with the way my head's working.
Yesterday:
180 minutes of review over last quarter of class (from last August). I'm not half way
through what we did last quarter. I also understand Akkusativ quite a bit better than I
did then as I can actually point out the direct object now. Feeling good about progress
on this. Should hopefully be back up to speed by the time the next quarter starts so
that I'm not too far behind those that didn't take a 9 month break.
120 minutes on Anki. Going over vocabulary. A mixture of the vocabulary from my
textbook, and first 40 most common 1000 words list from About.com.
Today will be lots of sleeping, and more review on vocabulary from textbook. I'd like
to be caught up on that by the 29th or so, so that I can go ahead and move forward on
the 1000 most common words learning.

Still sick, though need to head into work today, so I'll have to just be better.
I dug around some yesterday looking for decent online German TV. Found one or two non-
news sites. I found a link for a French Game Show on another log that looked awesome. I
think one of my next pushes will be to find something like that for the German
language. Entertaining TV, even when I only get a word here and there would still be a
great way to end the day I think.
Yesterday:
180 minutes Class review - Got through chapter 3's lessons and text. 2 more chapters to
go, though they are the ones where work pulled my attention from the class, so probably
less review and more learning to be done on those.
145 minutes Anki - Working my way through the vocabulary lists of the first 5 chapters
of the book that we covered last quarter. I've gotten through the first 3 so far. This
is around 350 words, though it is all review from 9 months ago, so I recall most of
them fairly well.
20 minutes TV - watching some 6-7am German news. Not the most gripping time of the day
for television, but with the time difference, it's the best I'll do until I can find
some Hulu type site, or a station that keeps recent shows online to watch.
All in all, a decent day. I feel like I won't be at a total loss going back into the
class, which was a goal of mine. Now I just need to get rid of this sickness and keep
on going!

Feeling better, but still had trouble concentrating. Got to love being sick. Yesterday
was a bit slow in all aspects due to this. I did dig around and find a stream German TV
station which I got to watch for a 2 hours or so. It was a lot of fun watching, and I
heard words in there I knew, though my brain isn't fast enough to just know what they
meant without stopping to translate, at which time I'd be 4 words behind what was being
said. STILL! I heard words in there I knew, which was a pretty awesome feeling. :D
My computer that my Iphone synchs to is acting up, and until I can figure out what box
we packed the Windows CD in, I don't know that I can fix it. The issue here is that
I've hit the end of the lessons I had put on my phone, so now I can just review them.
That being said, I relistened to Pimsleur 10 and MT disc 1 again. I dug around a bit
for the Windows disc, but no luck, so today's walk to work is going to be a bit less
productive. :(
Yesterday:
60 minutes MT - relisten to disc 1.
30 minutes of Pimsleur - relisten to lesson 10.
120 minutes of TV - some news, and a detective show.
15 minutes of Anki - hitting my words up for review.

Working some more on my hard drive tonight, so should be able to synch my iphone soon.
That'll put me back to listening to MT and Pimsleur. I have my first of 2 review classes
tonight to try to see what I need to work on to get caught back up before my 102 class
starts. Should be a lot of fun :)
Yesterday:
110 minutes of TV - A bit of Seasamstraße, South Park and some news shows.
60 minutes of Anki - Reviewing vocabulary from German 101.

Computer still down. Funny how I actually miss Pimsleur each day. I may have to look
into more audio items to take it's place once the course is finished. Maybe podcasts in
German or something. If anyone has any recommendations for some that would be good
after Pimsleur 3, I'll start downloading now so I have a good collection once the day
comes.
I had my first review class last night. The teacher hit us up with all the general
questions from 101 which I seemed to remember about 80%. She even taught us a bit of
new vocabulary, which was fun. The main things I realized were, 1. I'm not as far
behind as I assumed I'd be, and 2. I haven't been vocalizing enough. That much talking
and having to think in those terms made my brain tired after 1.5 hours. Super fun
though! I can't wait for 102.
Yesterday:
90 minutes Class
110 minutes Anki - mainly reviewing vocabulary from 101 class still. 641 cards and
phrases!

Well my computer is still down. I'm not sure how long until I can get it running again.
I put a hold on Pimsleur at the library so I can continue studying. Luckily I have MT
offline so I can use an old mp3 player to keep using those. I also found Germanpop101
digging around which are ridiculously fun to listen to. I catch myself even listening
to the ones where I know all the words just to hear the conversations and cultural
tips. Also still banging my way through class vocabulary review. Hopefully I'll get
some real time this weekend, even though I am fairly happy with what I've been able to
get done this last week :)
Yesterday:
80 minutes of Anki: Mainly going over another chapter. This must have been where work
hours kicked in, as I find myself remembering MUCH less than in previous chapters.
60 minutes of Germanpod101: Going through Newbie and Beginner lessons. Put the next 25
of each on my mp3 player as I enjoyed them so much.

4. Assimil - I've not found a place to buy the German versions of this as of yet as
everyone is sold out, but as soon as I can get this, I plan on it. Too much positive
talk here not to. Any help on finding it would be awesome |

It seems to be a lot easier to find Assimil courses at amazon UK. Yes, the exchange rate and extra shipping are a little annoying, but at least you can pick up the course now.

Good luck with your studies!

Thanks BobMc! I've got that link set aside for grabbing soon :D
Yesterday was a bit lackluster in terms of German study. I got a good 40 minutes on MT,
and 30 more on Anki review, but we had a party for shipping my last video game I worked
on at my old job, and that much champagne does not lead to me being productive. :\ I
did read a children's book for the second time as well, and actually remembered most of
the vocabulary, which was neat. Though anything outside of the present tense does throw
me for a loop still.
Yesterday:
30 minutes of Anki review.
40 minutes of MT.
10 minutes of children's book. Die Kliene Raupe Nimmersatt.
